For the first time in my life, I’ve finally found the validation I’ve been searching for. It feels like for the first time, somebody truly understands how I feel. Thank you, you have no idea how much you’ve changed my life
we always chase the next big thing we think that if we had it, we'd finally make it, that everything would feel differente. but when we finally get there, nothing really changes , it feels normal, sometimes even boring. we stop appreciating the effort it took to get there, we forget the journey, and instead, we simply find something else to obsess over, something else to chase .
so we need to know what we really want, not what we think we want, and start living instead of waiting to be happy when we finally get there.
I was just crying over the feeling of being behind but the steps that I’m making don’t feel big enough compared to steps others make. It reminds me of when I was a swimmer and I would fall behind in a race because I started looking at the person in the lane next to me- I really just needed to focus on me and my breathing. I’m happy I’m making progress and I appreciate the sense of understanding coming from multiple people here. Needed the good vibes tonight
Girl, do you have a hidden camera around my whole soul, life, and feelings? That was absurdly me. What I'm facing. The question mark that won't leave my head, and all the questioning that follows. I already liked you, and honestly, you're a prodigy diva of writing who writes incredibly well. Thanking you is even strange, but well, thank you. It was the best and most useful article I've ever read on Substack. I hope to become a blogging girl as amazing as you in my little newsletter, see you later!
It's so frustrating especially when you know you have the potential but actually becoming capable and competent enough is so hard when you're scared of leaving your comfort zone. Some people tell you to get over that fear as if it's a switch I wish I could. i wish i can stop overthinking and being afraid and allow myself to make mistakes and fail but I frankly have no idea how they do it and it's the most suffocating feeling because I'm happy and proud of these people but it leaves me so disappointed and disgusted with myself for not having the courage and taking the step or finding the opportunity and turning my life around
I was reading and at some point I thought to myself “did I write this or is someone spying on me?”. It’s so accurate and it’s such a relief to know there are more of us that feel the same way. Thank you for these words and for understanding ♥️
this "to become the girl who keeps moving, even when the movement is almost embarrassingly small".
You have no idea now I needed to hear this. I have had this feeling of limbo for more than a year and I really want to end. The struggle of my situation but the struggle of finding something better. Sometimes staying in limbo feels comfortable, it's what I'm familiar with even though its so draining.
motivation, most of the times does nothing for you. It’s like caffeine, good for running for few hours, but then you start having existential crisis. What I feel is important for success, is the hunger. You have to be hungry.
beautifully written and captures such a unique feeling I know all too well!!
Thank you so much!!!

we have to be happy -- now.

Thank you for the correction!
Legally Blonde has my heart forever 🍸
I love this! Being able to recognize that each day is not going to be an upward trajectory is a beautiful reminder. Amazing work!
Exactly! Progress isn’t linear…
Your words were so clear and easy to read, but also warm. Thank you. I feel validated, motivated, and inspired all at once.

warms my heart, crazy how we all go through so similar situations yet we always feel so alone in those moments
I'm sobbing on a Sunday morning. I don't think anything has ever clicked the way this did for me. It was, truly, comforting. Thank you 😭
